- 1 tsp Sesame seeds
- 1/4 tsp Asafetida or hing
- 1 cup Grated coconut

- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1/4 cup Chopped coriander
- 1/2 cup Curd
- as per taste Salt
- as needed Boiling water
- For chutney:
- 1/2 cup roasted gram,
- 1/4 cup grated coconut
- 2 dry red chillies,
- 10-12 curry leaves,
- 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 2 tsp tamarind pulp
- as per taste Salt, chilli powder
Steps to make to make Akki Roti Sandwich
- First, gather all the ingredients in a deep dish or bowl. Add 1 tablespoon cooking oil.



- Add 1/2 cup boiling water and cover for 10 minutes. Then knead to a soft dough using more water if needed.
Tip: be careful with hot water. Use a spoon if needed to mix a dough.
- Now grease a tawa with an onion peel dipped in oil. Take a big sized piece of dough and press it well all over the tawa.

- Make small indentations at center and around for oil to reach. Now keep on slow to medium flame and cook both sides till crisp.

- Avoid flipping too early. It may break the rotti. When it's crisp from both sides, remove on a plate. Your Akki Roti is ready. Make all in a similar way.
