- Boil enough water in dhokla maker or steamer. Grease dhokla thali with oil. Now add oil and sodabicarb into batter and rotate in one direction and mix well. Pour enough batter into greased thali (keep thin layer). Sprinkle red chilli powder or black pepper powder and steam for 12-15 minutes or until done. Then cut into pieces in desired shape and enjoy hot with aamras, green chutney or oil.
